About Me
I am an Assistant Professor at the School of Business and Management, Institut Teknologi Bandung (SBM ITB), specializing in Energy Economics, Sustainable Finance, and Energy Policy. My academic and professional work focuses on bridging economic theory, financial modeling, and policy design to accelerate Indonesia’s energy transition and promote sustainable investment frameworks. I hold a Ph.D. in Energy Economics, Law, and Policy from the University of Dundee, United Kingdom, supported by the Indonesia Endowment Fund for Education (LPDP), as well as a Chevening-funded MSc in Management Science (International Oil and Gas Management) and a PgDip in Islamic Economics, Finance, and Banking.
Before joining academia, I gained extensive experience in the energy and finance sectors including roles as Expert at PT PLN (Persero), Policy Analyst at the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM), and Engineer at Halliburton Logging Services. These diverse experiences shaped my analytical approach, integrating quantitative methods, risk assessment, and market structure analysis to support evidence-based policy and strategic investment decisions across Indonesia’s power and energy industries.
Currently, I also serve as Executive Director of the Institute for Energy, Economics and Finance (IEEF). Through these roles, I actively contribute to advancing interdisciplinary collaboration between academia, industry, and policymakers. My passion lies in developing innovative and data-driven solutions that help build a resilient, low-carbon, and inclusive energy economy for Indonesia and beyond.
